Self Directed IRA

Hi All,

I am shopping for a self directed IRA so I can invest my retirement funds in tax lien certificates. Anybody here using that method and who is satisfied with their custodian ?

I have used Trust Accounting Service Corp. as my trustee for 2 years now. They are great to work with and are reasonable with the fee's. They are located in Carlsbad, CA.

I've use midohio for my roth IRA, easy to work with and real flexible.

Thanks thowel and nebulousd. I have also done some research since I posted the question, and it seems like Equity Trust (formerly mid ohio) has a good fee structure (a reasonable and all inclusive annual fee - the other company I considered had fees every time you purchase or sell real estate, notes or TLCs). I plan to open an account with them soon.

Do yourself a great favor and do not use MidOhio. I have had horrendous luck with them. They have done everythng wrong with my account there. i'm leaving them. No thanks!

I'm going to open an account with Trustar, which is professional and careful. Good luck!
