Hi everyone! Another newbie here. I too want to get started in purchasing tax leins. I absolutely have no idea where to get started. I have browsed the forum and still and lost. Where did you all get your information at. I see alot of information on the internet and the TV is that information helpful? Is that how I should get started with videos and books? For instance I seen an advertisement on TV with I think it was John Beck he is selling a tell all way for 39.99. Has anyone gotten started like this and did it help you any?

    betterhealth,

    Glad to meet you,

I think you are going to find since the tumble of the stock market, that these type of investors have turned to the tax liens. There by making it unattractive for the small investor to invest.

It is my understanding that this market is not as good at this time because of what has happened in the stock market.

However, I have heard good things about Mr. Becks's book.

Welcome on board this board, keep posting a lot of great people here at TCI to help you.

    John,

Thanks so much for your response. I did order John Beck's book. Well it certainly makes sense investing in real estate. I can see why the big guns are loading up on it. We recently purchased some property near our home and are interested in this tax lien area. Thanks for the heads up.

I got my start from Beck's package. I thought it was $39.00 + normal shipping but they added stuff I declined and charged my account $60. Well, that would be okay. The info was pretty general and covered all the states rather than specific to what I needed. I guess it was okay, I'll keep it, but didn't live up to what was promised.
I did buy a road. It is for sale cheap! I understand there is a market for bridges...but I'm not so sure about roads.
