Newbie Needs Advice On Tax Delinquent Fixer

gwjr profile photo

Hello I'm a newbie investor. Earlier this year I aquired a fixer that will be redeemed by the city for delinquent property taxes by the end of this month.

I was going to rehab the unit myself but I haven’t had the time, because I’m self-employed in the fast paced world of web site development.

I don't currently have the funds to pay the back taxes. What do you recommend me do so as to not lose this investment?

I think you mean that the city will be auctioning off the property for delinquent property taxes. Is that correct?

I recommend that you simply sell the property to somebody else who will pay the delinquent property taxes, probably in the escrow.

Put a for sale sign on the property, with your asking price on it. Put an advertisement into the newspaper.
