Las Cruces Tax Sale

rumbenhaur profile photo

I am a newbie, and want to know if it is worth attending a tax sale on Mar 31, 05 in Las Cruces. I know that liens and mortgages carry over to the new owner. I will have to fly there from California to attend. I need to know if this auction is one where people typically overbid. Any info or past experiences in N.M auctions would be appreciated. Thanks Rob grin

Thanks for the info. I am going there anyway 4 days before, so I am thinking of finding out who the owners are and making them an offer before the properties go for sale.

yes, my question is, and I guess its new mexico specific, but in general, what happens to mortguages, in a tax sale? is the lender out of luck if the owner never redeems? thanks.

for me less than 50k i would not touch. only because of the problems that are usally given with props. that cheap. but then again i would have to "eyeball" the prop. and just as important the area and see what other props. were bringing in the area before i made any decision.......kenmax[ Edited by kenmax on Date 03/14/2005 ]
