I wanted to thank all that helped me, and give some motivation to any newbies out there, it can be done!

it takes a lot of determination and know how, but it can be done. lol

How did you get your "know how"
I have been calling the tax office in my county with questions but they generally are ni=ot very helpful.

    HeatherRed.
You are somewhat right. Most county officials are “nice” but do not willingly give out information on tax land sales. Why??? They don’t want to be held accountable for the info. So how do you get the info? First go to the tax lien forum on TCI site and read all the previous post. At the bottom of the first page, click on the second page and then read that one, then …(repeat)….until you have read what you want. As of this writing I see 32 pages listed. Remember, for the older post some of the states laws may have changed so be sure to verify content. But this will give you ideas. Also go to different county collectors (or who ever conducts the sale in your state) in different counties and ask for information. After a while you will have spoken to several and the procedures should be coming into place for you. Also find and read your state statutes. There are several post about tax sales on another site I use (http://www.magicbullets.com/ ) Go and read those post. Then ferret out others. It is not a get rich quick endeavor, but you can make some good money for the time you have invested. Good luck.

    thanks!

there is one book out there, i dont know the name if it but go to amazon and search tax deed auctions and see what comes up and READ READ READ, then you will know how to find the auctions, attend a few, and READ YOUR STATES STATUES regarding tax liend and deeds...then you should be good to go.

it is important to know the law in your state to know the true process
