How To Check If The Tax Lien Is Still Owned By County

Kheng profile photo

HI there,

This is my first time to post to this forum. I have studied about this topic for 1 month. I believe I have get enough concept from the book materials. Now I decided to buy tax lien from state of Florida, Dade county.

The tax sale started from june 09 and by now I believe the county still hold some tax lien in their inventory.

I have got a full list of tax lien this month and I have check the Property appraiser website to learn more about the lien I am about to buy. My question is how do I know that the particular tax lien is still hold by Dade county and not bought by other tax lien investor?

Pls enlighten me. Humble thanks.

They are usually junk that noone else wants. Use the public record to find out.

Can you tell me how to use public record to find out? As far as i know, only county know if they are available, if they say these are the remaining liens, than these are.

By public record I meant: treasurer, assessor, county clerk, recorder of deeds, Circuit clerk, Federal Bankruptcy System, etc. There may have not sold because the owner is in bankruptcy, for example. Good luck!
