well you can either do it yourself. which is the chearpest way or you can look one up in the phone book like you would anywhere else and expect to pay anywhere from 50-100 dollars

i have had the best luck with asking people at the recorders office who work for title co.s and are there everyday how to do them. you could even offer them 40 bucks to show you how to search title on your property. since there getting paid probably ten bucks an hour im sure they would be more then happy. besides this way you will always be able to do them yourself or teach an employee how to do it. most of the time when you have a company do it, it can take up to a week. ive had a lawyer who took up to two months to get a title search done. needless to say i dont use him anymore.

people at the recorders office will be more then glade to help you.
