Hope all is well with everyone! I need guidence in foreclosing on a tax lien certificate that I just purchased in Baltimore, MD. I need to know how to do a title search and the best way to find out find out if there are any sub liens. I think that I found the 3 owners. One owner is a business. There are renters in the property also. Should I get a lawyer? I think I can do this on my own, if I'm carefull. Thanks to all smile

You MUST get a lawyer. DO NOT do this on your own, or you may regret it for you whole life!! Call John Callaghan in Washington DC and ask him for a good referral for a good tax lien lawyer in Maryland. Do NOT go to a real estate lawyer, they typically will not know anything about tax liens, and will wind up charging you for the time to educate themselves on the subject if you hire them to do the job, and then fail miserably because they don't understand the business. Good luck!
