Brand New And Head Is Already Spinning

Hello All,

We are just getting into Tax Lien/Deed investing and I happened across this site. I have been reading some of the post and I must say...my head is spinning.

Anyway, we are looking in the Louisiana and Mississippi area since we reside there and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for doing this type of business in these areas?

I have ALOT of research to do and I am ready to dive in, a point in the right direction would be most helpful.

Thank you all in advance.

    Hi Mike,

Thank you so much for your response and the link. I am going to be working these southern parishes and over into Mississippi. I am like you, I have so many questions and will pick my way through them. I will have to find an attorney as we are forming an LLC and start the self-directed IRA for the business. Do you use this method? and if so, what are your thoughts about it. If not, do you have any suggestions? You can email me directly as I think you may be able to email from this post.

We could use a good mentor and have no problem sharing the saints wealth for it!!!

    Thanks in advance,

    Wrain

No you do not. In Florida a tax cert is only that - an interest bearing instrument.
When you want your interest you ask the county to sell the property and pay you. The ONLY way you get the property is if no one bids on it at the sale.
The money from the sale goes to the county and if anyone has a lien they can get some if they can prove the lien
