Are Homes Older Than 12yrs Worth Buying?

Currently looking for multiplexes but often find 1980's and some 1950's homes. What am I risking if I buy an older House?

    huh? 1950? That is old? smile

    Around here, an old home is 1910s, 1920s, real old is 1870-90s...

    There are lots of properties around here that are great properties built before 1980.
