Self-Directed How Fast?
I'm getting ready to buy some land and put it in a self-directed IRA with Equity Trust. My question is how long does it normally take for an IRA transfer to take place? I assume that Equity Trust will process the work on their end as soon as they receive the funds from Acme Big Bank. I'm considering simply excercising a 60 day rollover and immediately put the money with Equity Trust to expidite the process. My concern is that Acme Big Bank will play pocket pool for a couple of months with my money if I use the transfer option.
Seems to me that the only people who can answer your question are the trust custodians at Entrust.
