I received an invitation to attend a seminar on Real Estate Investing & Total Asset Protection, by Robert J. Bluhm and Mark Walters. Has anyone attended one of their seminars? Is it worthwhile, or just marketing hype? Are their programs (which I am sure they'll sell very expensive? rolleyes

No specific help on the Bluhm and Walters program.

I do know there are good programs for the two different topics as separate items.

Check the store here and see if there are courses that you would be interested in. Use those prices as a benchmark for comparison. The protection issues are not that complex and for the most part are discussed at TCI in different forums.

BTW - Expect that you might invest in some education so you can better manage a lawyer. The hourly costs and the savings might justify a course.

Oh, the library will likely have books on both topics.

I just attended the seminar in Enid, Ok. I thought it was a very informative presentation (about 2 hours worth) with the sales pitch at the end. They are asking $4995 for materials covering Lawsuit Protection, Tax Reduction, and Estate Planning. If you buy the day of the presentation, they discount $2,000 off the price. I have a $3,000 budget per year for my investing education and decided not to use it on this, but I got enough information to learn more about this on my own. Overall, looks like a pretty good program for the do-it-yourselfer if you're in to creating your own legal documentation as apposed to having an attorney do it all for you.

Look at it this way, your first session is free and you will lean a few things for just 2 hours time.

I go to over 100 real estate training seminars every year some free some paid!

The value of education is worth its weight in gold, but the value of ignorance is poverty.

I have listened to him on the Radio a lot, he used to have a 3 hr program, it is not in my area now. His advice was solid.
