Isn't it nice how the landlord is classified as a non-business!
I own a couple duplexes and SFRs...what they propose would double my taxes which would decrease the value of my properties considerably...also, people I know have recently switched to condo associations to reduce the tax liability on apartment buildings (they are the real problem!!) and they are just going nuts over this...
