Warrenty Deed

baldi18 profile photo

I am having my attorney look over John's Sub2 forms later this afternoon to add state specific stuff in Illinois. I have a copy of the Grant, bargain, and sale deed. Is this the same as the warrenty deed??? I understand that some states require warrenty deeds, but mostly they are the best to use because they warrent ownership. Do I need a different form or can my attorney just add a clause to make it a warrenty deed?

Thanks for any suggestions,
JB

    baldi18,

There are various names for a deed in different states.

Grant Bargain & Sale Deed, Warranty Deed, Grant Deed, etc. so your attorney will provide you with the state specific deed you will use for Illinois.

Thanks John for answering my question. I will let my attorney do the work. I am sure it will be money well spent.
    Thanks again,
