Would anyone use a paypal account to collect payments from a buyer or a renter? I noticed that its free to recieve money in a paypal account but you got to paya transaction fee if you are a merchant. any ideas or thoughts on this?

I would absolutely not use paypal to collect any sort of large payment. They charge a 3% mercahnt fee, which if you ask me is crazy. I use paypal to collect my rental application fees, but would never let paypal rob me for 100-500 dollars on a rent collection. Have your tenants wire you the money then they have to pay the fee.

    Winter SUCKS!

There is nothing worse then winter.

Im in CT and it snows alot. The market slows down pretty heavily. Im suspecting this winter will be worse because of high heating costs, people are looking at 400$ a month to heat there house. The other factor i deal with is that not many people are out driving, especially in bad weather. That means if your marketing with billboards or bandit signs then you will have less calls comming in from them. People tend to just close up and not want to go outside (especially people in foreclosure) Not to mention the continually rising interest rates that will push some buyers out of the market. Heck sometimes i dont even go out when the weather sucks.

I have a better idea, lets move to someplace warm.
