Subject To's, Trusts, Gurus And Laws In NY

I'm based in NY. Is there is anything worth being concerned about when doing subject to's and trusts in and around New York? Is there anything in the generic national forms that do not work in NY? Are there any gurus that write material from NY? How do you find an attorney who actually knows this stuff? My current attorney has no better idea than I.

Network your a$$ off at local real estate investors meetings. That is the ONLY place to find GOOD attorneys.

Guru stuff tends to not apply as much to the markets of NY, Boston and www.So.Cal

Do NOT use generic forms in the city!!!!! You will be eaten alive, you want state specific, perhaps even city specific clauses, contracts and forms so you are complying with state laws in NY.

Dive deeper my friend, and by all means, go to every NY Reia meeting you can find.

    Best, Dave
