Check with your county clerk- many states have a special deed called a "quit claim deed". This deed is used when someone is releasing their interest in a property.
Be aware that if you have a mortgage and both of your names are on it, filing a quit claim deed does NOT release your husband from his responsibility for the mortgage (a mortgage and a deed are two completely separate animals). Contact your mortgage company about this- they may be able to amend the note, or you may have to refinance the loan to get his name off of it.
