    StewartChicago,

    Glad to meet you.

I have a copy of the original Illinois Land Trust in my manual. However, as in any paperwork when it comes to making sure it is state specific I recommend your run it by an attorney. It is very easy to fill out.

I have students who use a Land Trust and those that don't.

But since we are on the subject, do you feel a Land Trust is neccessary and for what reason would you use it or is this something that you want to learn about?

Where exactly is the Land Trust document you are referring to in your manual, John?

    Ichabod,

It is in the new 2004 manual but I will put it up on the subto site so you can download it and I will walk you through it.

    Hi, John

I just wanted to know if you covered it for privacy reasons, I don't want my name all over public records.

    Thanks

    StewartChicago,

I can put you so far under cover, I can't even find you.

Is the actual trust agreement filed somewhere or is it held by the trustee?

    mcl8190,

    Glad to meet you.

Depending on where you are located there are different requirements for filing a trust.

Some places require a Memorandum of Trust be filed only showing the Trustee's name.

Here again we are looking at what the state requries to be filed concerning a trust.
