Choosing A Title Company
Looking for a title company. What do I need to ask when I am calling around? I am assuming that I should use the same company for the first and last transaction. Is that correct? Can I do a title search myself or does that need to be done by a title company? Any help appreciated, Thanks.

The title co. that I use my lawyer also uses. I choose to use them 'cause all the players then know one another.
In regards to a title search, I have the title co do a quick preliminary search, and if I end up purchasing the property, I'll either close with them or give them other work.
I've also spoke to Cash about this, and he said I could also go to the county and pay someone (who works for an attorney or title co) $50.00 to do a search. Personally, I just call the title co.
