In Florida how long does a judgement stay on your record??? I cosigned for a semi and the person let it go back and I got socked with the judgement and I was wondering if it would go against my home if I choose to sell it ???:( [ Edited by RobbieM on Date 03/31/2005 ]

    You need to contact a title company and ask them to do a preliminary title search. It should cost about $70. Tell them that you want to find all liens and judgments that attach to your house because you are thinking of selling it. Since it is your homested property, the judgement most likely does not attach. But, you are still personally responsible for the judgement.

    Thanks for the input. The three leads I mentioned need very little rehab but, in our hot market maybe I could assign to an end user at a discount. The only problem I can see is the whole financing issue for the buyer. Any thoughts on what I can do with these leads?
