How Late In The Game Can You Start SS Talk?
I'm really trying hard to help a homeowner (Texas). Sale is tomorrow, and up until now, I can't get info from the bank or attorney. I don't think I can do anything to reinstate, anyway, but would they even consider a SS offer this late in the process? What else can I do to get them to suspend the sale? Anything?
I try to allow a window of at least 90 days to effectuate a mortgagee approved, preforeclosure short sale.
To postpone the sale? Try to find procedural errors in the foreclosure, and/or see if there are any Reg Z irregularities... although the window for raising any objections may have expired.
