Foreclosure
Sheriff sale occured April 5, 2004; May 4 return to court. I have a contract for the sale of said property dated April 28, 2004. What do you think my chances are of selling my home and is there a possibility I can keep my home? 
I'm sorry, but once the foreclosure sale occurred in Illinois, you have no right of redemption. If the property went REO to the bank, you MIGHT be able to prevent confirmation if the judge rules the contract for sale is solid enough. Regardless, at this point, you unfortunately will not be able to keep your house.
