Has anyone ever ordered a short sale form a lender known as green tree?
After contacting the loss mitigation dept. what do I do next? How do I ask for a packet? What should I say?

Just tell the lender that you are interested in submitting a short sale offer on the home. Then ask them to fax you their "packet" or any information that they want you to gather and include with your offer.
They will probably fax it to you. If you want to get a jump start on gathering info from the homeowner, ask them to list what they will want to see. That way you can get the homeowner working on getting their bank statements, paystubs, etc. while you wait for the actual packet to arrive. Good luck,
