I need some advice on commerical real estate investment. I am a software engineer and i have no knowledge on commercial real estate investing.
I am located in Greenville South Carolina and I have 40K to invest
I am planning to invest in a small real estate to start with.
Which is the good one to start with?
Small strip mall?
Commerical Land?
Please advice gurus.
Whom should i contact locally here to get some info on this.

Retail is quite competitive and you have no background in commercial investing I would suggest that you definitely consult with local market experts. You should also use a consultant to run a feasibility study if you want to minimize your risk of making a bad investment. You could go to a local CBRE office and chat with them about the retail market for free and and get an idea about the conditions in the market and potential investment opportunities.
