What Interior Colors To Use.

What interior colors are you guys using to keep a neutral look. I need wall paint, trim carpet and vinyl ideas.

House has medium hardwood floors throughout living areas which I am keeping. Needs vinyl in the baths and kitchen to complement light wood cabinets and white countertops. Needs carpet and paint in an enclosed garage that is now a living room.

Also has chair molding in kitchen and living room. I presume it would be painted the same as shoe and crown molding. Is this what you guys do as well?

This is my first one and I want to get it right without spending a bunch of wasted time reviewing color combos.
