Tile Or Carpet Front Patio?

I am wrapping up a rehab for an old 2/1 home. The frong enclosed patio was added as an extension by the previous owner. I am going to replace the paneling with drywall. Should I use a sturdy indoor/outdoor carpet or commercial grade tile for that front room of the house? It is obviously a heavily trafficked area so I was thinking tile would be the way to go. Thoughts?
