There's Nothing That Feels Better Than This!

I'm closing on another rehab Thursday. I bought this one Nov 3rd, 2003. When I bought it, It looked old and worn out. Old ugly countertops, 40's light fixtures, dated flooring, bad paint jobs, old clunker furnace etc, etc,....
As I stood back and looked at it today to say goodby, I thought to myself, "there's nothing that feels better than this!" To take that old worn out home and make it look so nice that people stood in line to buy it feels amazing. It is always sad to say goodby to a home that I put my heart into for a few months. It's more than the money I get. Although the money is the main point to it all, there is something better. I asked myself today if I would give this up for a full time 40 hour per week job that paid an average income. My answer? Never! I am beginning to build a reputation and gain respect for what I do within the city and other realtors keep me in mind and call me when they have a rehab possibility. There's nothing that feels better than this!

thanx for sharing that sand! i feel that way too and i still feel that way when i rebuild an old car or old motorcycle. it's an amazing feeling and i always tell people to send me back a picture of them riding it (or living in it). they never do and that's ok, but it's still fun!

i wondered if people got attached to stuff like i do. i'm a stinkin packrat!
