That Sinking Feeling
Anybody out there ever been faced with the challenge of a "sinking basement"? Looking at a sweet deal on a house until I was told that the basement seems to be sinking. How do you fix that, pick up the house? What about the cost?

i'm by no means an expert on this, but...is it just the basement that is sinking or the footings too?
Yeah, more details please. Is the basement slab sinking only, is is sinking evenly? How long as this been going on, how much has it sunk - consider the duct work and plumbing needing modifications to prevent them from ripping apart.
