Should I Change From 150 Amps To 200 Amps?

I have a 894 sf house and will be adding central heat and air. I am not sure whether to upgrade my electrical to 200 amps...

Would it be sufficient to keep it as 150amps and rent out the house and will that handle the central AC and washer/dryer and anything else all at the same time?

100 amps should easily handle that size of house with the average utilities(assuming no heavy duty garage or anything). The money to upgrade I do not believe would be worth it.

150 amps * 120 volts = 18,000 watts at one time. Thats quite a bit.

    Robert,

You should be fine with 150.... Actually my area is swarmed with 1600-2k sq ft homes with 100 amp services that work fine....
