Replaced A Wndow...sheathing Is Gone!

I replaced a window on a brick veneer house of about 28 years of age...I'm doing all the windows but on this one the brick molding was rotting and when I got the window out I noticed that the sheathing was literally just crumbling away. The framing shows no sign of deterioration but it looks funky just seeing the insulation batting under the sills. There is no way to fix this short of tearing off the brick which definitely isn't happening and I intend to hang on to it for a rental. Anyone else run into this? I think the sheathing was homasote but I can't tell. The black plastic over the sheathing is intact ....wish they would have used tarpaper but not hte case. I just put the new window in and intend to seal it up with new brick molding as I don't seem to have any recourse.

It sounds like you are doing exactly what you can do at this point.
