I've always found that roofing and siding varies by the part of the country you live in. Roofs out here in Colorado that you could get done for $1800 cost $3500 back east. Usually the nicer the climate the cheaper the price, possibly because they can work year round.
Unless someone has this figured out another way I don't think there are any universal costs.
A couple of phone calls to some contractors should get you a ball park figure to start with. Roofers quote by the "square" a square being 100 sq feet or a 10x10 foot area on the room. A 200 foot by 20 foot roof would be 40 square. Plus there are extra charges for the "valleys" the sloping valleys where two sections of roofs meet. Also if they are just laying over or tearing off the privious layers of shingles.
For siding they take into consideration windows and sofits, usually the windows get wrapped in metal as do the sofits.
