Re-side Or Not?
I am working on a property that the siding is in need of repair or replacement. The existing siding is hardboard and we need to replace, paint etc about 20 -12' -16' lengths. New siding would cost about $6k. The house is in a nice area, next to a new developement. ARV is 255-260k. Is it worth it to put new siding on?

To help get better suggestions, let us know what you plan to do with the house. I gathered from your post you aren't sure if your should go to menards and buy 20 replacement pieces (total cost with paint about $600; or spend $6000 to have all new siding installed.
If you're renting the house out, I'd use cheap replacement pieces; however, if you are selling soon; I;d go with new Vinyl siding to try to closely match the look of the new development.
