You need to get a little education before you get started. Like was posted before, read all of the forums archive and buy a couple books. From there, you’ll get a better idea of what area you’re interested in. When you narrow it down, you’ll probably need to either find someone with experience to help you through the details or buy a course.
I don’t recommend a rehab for your first deal. For some reason everyone wants to jump into rehabbing, but it’s not easy when you’re new. I recommend starting out wholesaling. You don’t need money or credit to do that. If you ultimately want to be a rehabber then get your credit in shape first. I found out the hard way how much money bad credit will cost you.

Do they help sell the house in my market? Well, yes, but in the same way having a roof helps sell the house. Buyers expect it.
