Knocking Down A House

in general, how much does it cost to take down a house which is roughly 1300 square feet and put up a new one around 1700 sqare feet? is it hard to take down a house and replace it with a new one? the old one there is in baaaad shape

    By the way, the plans I have seen, and looked closely at with Hallmark Modular homes are around $67-70 per square foot. Have you or anyone else seen modular homes that are cheaper per square foot and you still get a finished house?

    Genesis is another national company that does prefab. But, be aware that there are several costs associated with the house that you have to take care of: foundation, permits, engineering, putting it together, exterior painting...

    Also, I saw one recently and during transport, there were many cracks in the drywall which had to be fixed and painted.

    Perhaps you can find some that have been done in your area and check them out.
