Installing A/c Unit
Hi everyone--I have a family member who wants central heat and air install in home. The house is about 35 years old (wood) in fair shape. It has 3/1 bath with lv. and dn. room and of course a kitchen. It is approx. 1000 sq. ft.. How much would it cost to put in unit?? Thank you. The home is located in south eastern NC.
from the past putting in a gas pack costs around 5k
A few years back I got gas heat/air and duct work put in a 750 sq ft apt for little over $4K.
We were installing CH & A for $3,500 or so. My last quote for a similar house was $4,250, for a 13 SEER 3-ton system.

My last one a couple of years ago was a 1150sf 3/1 including running ducts for ~$4500.

Be sure to get several bids and check references...bids are often all over teh place and make sure you are getting similar rated units when comparing bids.
