Gut Price Check

All,

I am trying to check on the following prices I am receiving from a third party on a project I am working on.

Here goes:

3 Ton Furnace Installed (Ducane): - $1650

Carpet + Install: - $12 per Sq. Yd.

Laminate + Install: - $4.25 per Sq. Ft.

Vinyl + Install: - $2.25 per Sq. Ft.

I know that prices vary by region but I wanted to knoe if these prices are in the right neighborhood or if there are waay out there.

Thanks in advance.

I think this will depend largely on WHERE the work is being done. I really wonder about the quality of that carpet for that price, but again it depends on the area.

Got another quote for a Goodman furnace, same capacity: - $1500.

The only difference is the Heat Exchanger warranty: 25 years for Ducane 10 years for Goodman.

    Is it worth the difference?

    Thanks.

wow 800-1000 seems cheap to me...how much should i be paying for a gas furnace with ac including new duct work in Richmond, VA. The cheapest I have seen is 7K.

These are very competitive prices for a low end remodel.

No-one cares what the warranty is on the furnace, merely that it works.

You want your house to stand out from others in the price range that you are looking to sell at. If you do exactly the same as the others then you should experience similar results.

Your holding time will be the same and the price should be similar.

If you do a nicer paint job and ad a sizzle feature or two then you will probably get a better result.
