Garage Door Opener

dakerrian profile photo

My house has two separate garage doors, are there anby openers than can open both, or do i need 2 seperate openers. And is it a good idea to have openeres in a rental. Most of the houses in the block have them, and it's a lower middle class neighborhood. Thanks.

You need 2. Openers are fine. Protect yourself from any incompetence by including a clause in your rental that the tenants are responsible for repairs up to a certain dollar amount, this seems to stop them from calling you everytime the break something and gets them to take care of it themselves.

Not sure if this is smart but I have seen brackets that basically connects to two garage doors and then the garage door opener connects to the bracket. It pulls both doors open at the same time.

I don't know if they are commercially available or something that was specially made but I have seen them on I think two occasions.

I would go with an opener if most of the block has them I think rentals should fit right in with the rest of the neighborhood I dont think you should be able to pick out a rental from a homeowner

Thanks for the help, I will put them in, should help me to get top dollar rent. I do have a clause where the tenant is liable for the first $50 of repairs, and it works very well.
