Exterior Brick Cleaning
I have a SFH with red brick exterior ....how should I go about cleaning this or should I hire a professional to clean and repoint the brick.....what should I expect to pay per sq ft in LI NY..........Just need to let you guys know that the info you share is priceless........

Try powerwashing... Either hire someone to come and soap and spray down the house. Or you can do it yourself... Just get a good exterior powerwashing soap. Home Depot should carry that!

The brick is faded I should add......Are there any chemicals/ process that would restore it to its origional color......

I have applied a clear finish to bricks on the inside before that brought out their color. Not sure if you could use that on the outside? You could call a good, speciality paint store.
You clean bricks with muratic acid.
(must wear gloves & eye protection)
Just brush it on , let stand 5- 15 minutes then wash with hose or power washer !
