Do I pay a fee to person who finds property for me?

fixerpro profile photo

Since there is a lot of competition to finding a good fixer etc., should I expect to pay the finder a fee to give me the first chance at it? How much should I expect to pay? I'm in Silicon Valley/San Francisco where teardowns are $700K+ cool smile

    fixerpro,

    Glad to meet you.

If you are not using Bird Dogs to find the type of propeties you are looking for then you are missing the boat or I should say re-habb.

If a Bird Dog brings you a deal, I doubt a handshake and a thank you would work.

What is it worth to you to have deals handed to you before the competition finds out? Only you can answer this question.

Welcome on board this board, great investing area you are in.

I'm in the NJ/NYC area and most rehabbers will give a birdogger a fee of anywhere between 3K-5k Depending on the deal and if the birdogger has already had any inspections done on the property or an appraisal done, etc.
