Cat urine and air purifiers?

tomjerry200 profile photo

Long story short--bought a house and had to cut a portion of floor out due to cat urine. Now you can't smell a thing until you turn on the attice fan and air is drawn up through the new floor and across the old beams (still some stains of urine) and then you can smell it. I've sprayed Odor X, bleach, Obor ban, etc on the beams but still get the smell. Some people claim that air purifiers will get rid of the smell but I am sceptical. Anyone use a purifier???????

Thanks--Jim

an industrial ozonator will do the trick but it is expensive. If it is being drawn up I would neutralize the ammonia with arm and hammer baking soda under the house first, then if all else fails rent the odorizer and leave it in there overnight.

    Good luck,

The Aranizer that we sell on this website does the trick. We had a unit that had pet stains. After 5 carpet cleanings the tenant still complained.

We took a blacklight into the suspect rooms, replaced the padding where needed.

That still didn't work. So then after I purchased the Aranizer, I put that in the house in front of the air intake for the house and turned in on high.

Since my tenant wasn't going to be in the house for a week we could get a good exposure to the Ozone. (actually it's O6).

We haven't had any more problems since. When the unit isn't in use during a re-rent, we use it constantly in our own home.

Remember the Oxygen is what breaks up the odors in the unit.

    Joel and Kyle--
Great stuff. I'm renting one for a couple days but really think I'll end up buying one if it does the trick like everyone says.

    Thanks a bunch!
