Adding Sq Footage
Iam planing on adding about a 1,000 sq feet and then fliping the property, i will need to add a large master bedroom with bathroom. And maybe expand the kitchen dining area.
was wondering if anyone knows if i do go with a contractor iam not sure if i will just do it with subs, what does a sq foot go for these days for additions on avg?
There is not a square foot price formula (or average) to additions and rehabbing..........new construction, yes.........but not rehabbing.
Get estimates and go from there.

Thats what iam planing on doing now, whats the cost per sq foot for new construction, of lets say 2,000- 2,500 sq foot house. In a midde-upper middle class area.

Where are you located? Here in the Los Angeles area I pay between $70.00-$85.00 a square foot.

About four years ago, I added another room onto my house at a cost of about $85 per square foot.
Today, the same room addition will cost me about $115 per square foot simply because materials cost is much higher today..
