My handyman wants to take care a complete remodel
(inside). The job includes redoing the 2 bathrooms,
fixing the drain line, installing new fixtures, installing a new counter top, painting, knocking out a wall, and putting up a ceiling fan.
Key Point: This person is unemployed and a family member.
Question: What is a good hourly rate? 1500....Is that fair???
What are you talking about? $1500 per hour?????
Anyway, I would not pay anybody hourly wage. I would have him estimate the job. Then it is up to you to negotiate it.
Family and friends that have worked hourly for me (and do the whole job) get 8 an hour plus 5% of the profit. Whatever works for you,
