That is too funny that noone likes what Reed has to say. I read a few of his books back in 94 when I got started.....best damn books I ever read. He made everyone else seem like they were just trying to sell books by being super positive. As far as I can remember that guy really knew how to plug a property for every last dollar it is worth.

The only problem with introducing a critique type forum is the strong possibility of advertisers, competitors, etc. planting posts.

Joel (and all of the moderators) have done an amazing job here keeping things on the level. Advertisers, lenders, realtors, etc. must pay to advertise (there is an operational cost to running this forum). Imagine if you paid $XXX for an advertisement yet your competitors posted advertisements for free. This is not good business.

I have witnessed this on other forums that allow it to happen. Many people that subscribe to a certain guru will blast the competitors. In addition employees, associates, etc. will place outlandish stories of praise and promises of unlimited success from their employer.

Then people like you and I will hold the forum accountable for its contents. It just opens up the door to dishonesty and blatant bashing and praising of products.

I also understand that there are moderators with products to sell. This should be a great advantage to us, we can actually see what these experts are about from their history of posts.

Bottom line, we must make a decision based on what research we are willing to compile.

I think that the LOUDEST, BIGGEST, BOLDEST, and HONEST message from this forum (and a few others) states is that all of those products, seminars, mentorships, home study courses, hand holdings, and expensive programs are not necessary to succeed (though some can be helpful).

The information is right in front of you.

    Take care,
