Just curious how much everyone else has given to the chinese government this Christmas?

It is a challenge to find anything for Christmas / ornament or gift that is not made by them America Haters!

I give cash... still made in the USA last time I checked.

  • kci41122nd December, 2006

Not if you count all of the countries like Iran and N korea who are undermining our economy with tons of counterfeit cash.

China is far from the problem..........its our own politicians that are selling us down the river. Why you may ask..........because it keeps them in office.

The love of money is the root of all evil.
Not money but the love it.........with it comes power......which turns into corruption.

Christmas is suppose to be about the birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ........in him I trust and hope and I assuredly wait his return.

    Merry Christmas.

I started riding dirt bikes in 1979 as a teen! My last bike I sold a year ago September, it was a 1998 H-D Sportster 1200. The plan was to sell it and buy a new one, but I ended up using the money for interest payments on a propery I sat on a little longer than expected! Damn the bad luck! Maybe this Sping...the new Street Glide is super sweet!

  • ryand19th November, 2005

This is terrible, i was born in 1984. you guys are talking about things from ancient history. there were actually motorcylces back then??

If a person is going to work and play then they must learn to manage time instead of it managing them, however at the same time one must prioritize what is really important.

I run on about 5 hours sleep per night.......no set bed time either.......so its easy for me to get many personal things done between 4 - 6am.

I do believe that we must gage our burn-out meter and take appropriate actions to ensure we still enjoy what we do..............

I have a yamaha xt225. Thats a great dual-sport. However with 2 kids it been increasingly difficult to hit the dirt tracks. Probably will sell it off sometime soon?

  • JamesStreet21st December, 2005

I have a yamaha Maxim. This baby has seen the whole US. Best ride was after grad from ISU went on a 6000 mile 1 month tour. I also had and sold my HD to buy my first house. Wife has promised me that I can get one again until then I will keep riding my Maxim. Be safe looking forward to spring....

  • NC_Yank23rd December, 2005

    Hey James,

I bet that was an awesome and adventerous 6000 mile ride.
I have always wanted to take a trip like that. With todays digital cameras it would be even more memorable.

I came across this site: http://www.dustydavis.com/
a few days ago. Talk about some beautiful pictures...... I yearn to travel some of the scenic spots here in NC this spring and summer.

My best friend and I are hoping to relive it this summer. It was 15 years ago this summer. Plus he is turning 40 so we hope to pass this mile stone in style. (Plus our wives think they need to be included) so will have to see. Have a great Christmas....

  • jam20016th August, 2006

Hey, NC_YANK, did you make it to Sturgis this summer?

  • NC_Yank16th August, 2006

No, unfortunately I did not make it to Sturgis.
Father in-law back out as well as the rest of my
friends. They thought it was to far of a ride.
Besides all that I have been slammed with the
    business.

The better half and I did head up to the Blue Ridge parkway
for a few days. We put about 500 miles of site seeing in one
day...........it was nice. Other then the fact the bike handle great in the curves...............I averaged almost 50 mile per gallon.
On the way home we hopped on I-77 south and flowed with
traffic at speeds of 85mph plus. We still were getting
    47mph at those speeds.

Presently I am allowing my boys to each plan a weekend trip. I think one will take us to the east coast of NC....probably a lighthouse run.

    anyway, ride safe........

    Heck yeah!

Man I love my bikes! I started out riding motor cross on a Suzuki RM125. (I know, that was a long time ago) Moved on to a Honda CB900, then another CB900, a Kawi KZ, then a Harley Fat Boy. My current ride is a 2004 Harley Road King. Living in fla. we have riding weather year around. But my favorite place to ride is North Georgia and South Carolina.

I am happy to see we share more in common than just real estate.

RIDE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!

Having been in debt with no cash and debt free with cash, we are now carry some debt with large cash reserves. Read, study and learn all you can about money and how it functions in our society. Only you can decide what financial plan gels with your income, personality and goals. I agree that you should start from a debt free position.

The debt to income ratio is key to whether or not debt is financially healthy or a hazard.

Amen Chris...we too are consumer debt free but carry 6 mortgages...a few too many credit cards that limit our score to 813...which is still amazing to most lenders....however we still keep the balances low but the fact they have a a 23k credit limit hurts our score...according to our credit report ...thus keeping the oldest credit cards active, limiting the number to 3-4 would be a smart move for anyone and watching the available credit line...because they will hold it against you even if you have zero balances...the mortgage debt does not seem to faze the credit agencies but the consumer debt is a killer...RK may not give you nuts & bolts but if he motivates someone to make moves & think in the right direction his books are worth it...regards, CWal

  • charlotteinvestor28th November, 2006

    Hi Folks,

Thanks for the post, but in order to keep your credit score at a high level, you have to maintain activity. With credit its ok to have a balance as long as you have the money to cover the debt. Never carry your debt above the 50% mark. Over extended credit does not look so great. Plus if you borrow with lines of credit to invest in something that out weighs the interest. You should be ok. Secured lines of credit is something different.

RK is motivational and thought provoking, that is all, he is not , nor professes to be a "how to" guy. Read his ideas, think about it, act on it, you will be better off. The problem with most people is "inaction", oh, and by the way, I hope I am never DEBT FREE, I will have Investment debt forever, and of course the income to go with it, Thank you to congress and the IRS for the Tax laws that benefit all us RE investors.

Robert is professing to be an entity is teaching wealth. Go here https://www.richdadcoaching.com/choose_to_be_rich.html?src=g&src_t=s&kw=robert%20kiyosaki&gclid=CIaG4Oe-gYoCFQLxgAodexwILA . Plus most of his information that i have come across you can find for free on the internet.

If you need a motivator go to Richard Simmons or see if you can reserve a spot on Dr Phil. People that invest in Robert books are looking for HOW TO concrete info. Not motivational fluff.

  • jpaynecr17th March, 2007

I have read a few of his books and I think that they are pretty bad. Every dummies book I have read on creating wealth is much, much better. He presents good ideas, but to me it is all really cheesy. He developed the Rich Dad them and he uses it too much I feel. I agree that it is nothing but fluff.

Maybe you should create a courting with option to hitch contract. And you can even get an option payment secured by the engagement ring. Set up a prenuptual LLC for legal liability and the list goes on.

If only marriage was that easy!!

    LK,
agree with all 10 but there are advantages to keeping a tenant long term. ( single entendre)
