If you join y our local/state Rental Property Owner's Association, they may offer the service. In Pennsylvania, I'm automatically a member of PROA because I joined my local association. They offer the service through ATS.
I use www.citicredit.net because they were easy to setup. A name and SSN is all you need but previous addresses also help validate some details in background checks.
Typing "Tenant Check" into Google gave a whole page of good results. Some offering as low as $9.95.
A little time, that's all it takes.
