Tenants Car Damaged By Landscaper
Got a call today from my tenant. She found the mirror for her car [which was parked in her driveway] broken off and sitting on top of the garbage can near by. She's assuming that the company that snowblows the drive way did it. I dont think I have any financial responsibility here, and her lease does say that, in addition the lease recommends tenant insurance. Im assuming that she would have to take it up with the landscape co., if of course they admit to it. Otherwise I believe she would be responsible. Any opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Have her contact the police and do a report. It is going to be a little hard for her to prove anything unless someone saw it done. I myself would not really get in the middle of it.
Thanks for the quick response. However the landscaper has admitted to it, and is going to pay for the repair.
Well then good sounds like you got a good landscaper not to many would admit to doing it.
