Sewage Smell In Basement
Hi guys. I own a small apt building in which the basement has a sewage smell for the past few months and it is also seeping upwards into the staircase and some of the lower units.
All sinks, showers, toilets are running fine. No leaks in the basement PVC sewer.
Anyone have experience with this? I was told the best option is to unscrew the cleanout cap and use an auger to clean the main drainage pipe?

I am assuming you mean drains in the concrete basement floor? I am not sure about this but will check.
