Section 8 " The Best " Tenants?
I was looking for some more feedback on Section 8 tenants. I don't have any although I have considered pursuing this market in the past. It seems like I have heard several people say that they had problems with these tenants taking care of their properties. On the other hand, today my realtor said that a lot of investors in our town who didn't use a property manager loved Section 8 tenants. She said that the properties are frequenly inspected and if the tenants are not taking care of them they lose their Sec. 8 funding. I have never heard this angle before but it certainly made the idea of specifically targeting this group as potential tenants more interesting. Is this actually your experience?
