On the rental application
1) have you ever been a plantiff in a lawsuit
2) are you, or do you work for, or are you studying to be - lawyer, lawyer's assistence, legal aid, or anything else in the legal field.
Realize this is probably not exactly what you meant, but it is a safety for not getting sued.

Seriously - taking someone else along isn't a bad idea. It also can help to refute "But she said..." type of stuff. Even S & W can't do that for you. <grin>
Pam - take a friend along. If no one else is available, I've heard that Messrs. Smith and Wesson make great company...
