Rhode Island Eviction Database?
I have been using an online screening service for apartment applicants and found that they were taking my money and really had no records for past evictions in RI. After doing some digging I am finding that RI does not make civil case information public. Very few of these cases end up on a credit report unless a lawyer actually files for collections.
Does anyone know of a way to check an applicant for past evictions in RI?
Do all these people I see getting evicted in RI court not have any of it show up for the next unsuspecting landlord?
